Venue and Travel

Travelling to Lisbon

EDCC 2025 will take place on the Faculty of Sciences of University of Lisboa (FCUL) in Lisbon, capital of Portugal.

FCUL is close to the airport (10 min by car/Taxi) and is also accessible by public transportation (Subway and Bus). There are several restaurants both at the university campus and in the Campo Grande neighbourhood. There are several hotels in the area and a pleasant park – Campo Grande Garden, with flora from the five continents represented. It is close to the University stadium and the Museum of the city of Lisbon.

The best way to reach the Conference Hall is by walking or taking the subway to the "Cidade Universitária" station in the yellow line or to the "Campo Grande" station in the green line.



Venue

The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon was created by Decree on 19 April 1911. It is an institution of creation, transmission and diffusion of scientific and technological knowledge that promotes a culture of permanent learning, valuing critical thinking and intellectual autonomy.

Since its creation and until 1985, when it was transferred to its new facilities in Campo Grande, the Faculty of Sciences facilities were in the building that used to hold the Polytechnic School (Escola Politécnica), and before that, other key cultural and scientific institutes.

Its mission is research and teaching, and the transfer of knowledge and innovation in the areas of exact and natural sciences and techno-sciences, as well as the dissemination and sharing of cultures, stimulating a permanent opening to civil society.
