The EDCC 2025 conference in Lisbon will feature a rich and diverse social program, offering attendees opportunities to network, relax, and explore the vibrant culture and history of the city. Below are the highlights of this year’s social events:


Welcome Reception

  • Date: April 8th, 2025
  • Location: Garden of the C6 Building, Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon (FCUL)

Join us for a warm welcome cocktail at the cozy garden of the C6 Building, the same location as the main conference. This reception marks the end of the first day of the event, immediately following the workshops. Enjoy light refreshments in a relaxed setting and connect with fellow attendees in this calm space within FCUL’s campus.

Guided City Walk with Wine Tasting - Extra event

Explore the cultural heritage and historical landmarks of Lisbon on a guided walking tour through the heart of the city. This optional extra event (available for an additional fee) includes a visit to the wine tasting room of the Wines of Portugal, located in the iconic Praça do Comércio. Delight in a curated wine tasting session before embarking on a scenic walk through Lisbon’s vibrant streets, where you’ll uncover the city’s center rich history and unique charm.

Hippotrip City Tour & Conference Dinner

Enjoy a memorable dinner at 1300 Taberna, nestled within the trendy and culturally vibrant Lx Factory neighborhood. The venue offers a unique blend of contemporary design and traditional Portuguese gastronomy. Adding to the excitement, transportation to the restaurant will be provided by the HippoTrip – a unique amphibious bus experience that transitions seamlessly from Lisbon’s scenic streets to the waters of the Tagus River. Discover Lisbon from a fresh perspective while traveling to the dinner venue in this unique vehicle.
